Lake Como - Italy
Lake Como: I think everyone at this point knows where Lake Como is thanks to George Clooney and his famous villa but I have to tell you, I now understand why he spends so much time on the beautiful lake. The third largest lake in Italy, surrounded by a scenic mountain range with small cities and villages, makes this destination a very special place to visit.
My stay at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, was absolutely divine - featuring world class service, spectacular views of the lake, a glamorous spa that boasts a pool, an adjacent outdoor Jacuzzi as well as exquisite dining experience. Breakfast was served in their main restaurant that had breathtaking views of the beautiful city of Bellagio across the lake. Because the restaurant is glassed in from three sides, I felt as though I was suspended over the lake. The superb beach club located in front of the hotel, with a pool immersed into Lake Como, with immaculate service offered a sublime experience. There are many advantages to staying at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo; proximity to the picturesque Villa Carlotta and a path through sublime yet photographic gardens. The hotel is practically across the street from the ferry that will take you to quaint cities such as Bellagio, Varenna, Menaggio, Como, and more.
My recommendation would be to reserve a Lake View Room on a high-floor. Wake up in the morning, open your shutters and be enchanted and dazzled by the beautiful lake and the surrounding mountains.
